Precepts Outreach Inc. is a South Carolina nonprofit organization committed to strengthening food security, family stability, and community resilience throughout the Lowcountry.
For more than two decades, Precepts Outreach has worked to address barriers that affect individuals and families facing economic hardship. Our work has evolved with the needs of the community. Today, our focus includes urban agriculture, fresh-food access, family support, education, and pathways toward greater economic self-sufficiency.
Through our developing urban agriculture initiative, we are working to grow and distribute fresh vegetables and other healthy foods to children, families, caregivers, seniors, widows, and households experiencing financial hardship.
We believe food assistance should do more than address an immediate need. It should preserve dignity, strengthen families, encourage self-sufficiency, and create opportunities for people to learn, grow, and thrive.
Our vision is to build a community where families have greater access to nutritious food, children understand where food comes from, seniors and vulnerable households remain connected and supported, and residents have opportunities to develop practical skills that improve long-term stability.
